Dax Athletic are predicted to be one of the best and highest scoring teams in the league this season. Having lost in the last tournament at the Semi-final stage, which was eventually won by rivals Bunny Rangers, the Dax Athletic coaching staff is looking forward to another good season. Michael Nowobilski and Co. will hope to make it to the finals this time around. Keeping the goals out will need to be key point of improvement this time if they want to go all the way and win the Stanley Cup. Having conceded far too many scrappy goals in the last tourney, Dax Athletic will want to tighten up at the back and continue their free-scoring ways in the league.
Matchday 1:
- Dax Athletic will be disappointed with their performance on Matchday 1, with the 6-4 loss against the Edmonton Hollanders being their most embarrassing moment so far this season. The loss to the Bunny Rangers in OT will really sting, too. Something needs to improve if they are to finish the season at the top of the table. They currently sit 2nd with 7 points.
- When asked about his performance from Matchday 1, Nowobilski's answer was plain and simple: "It's very disappointing. Not Bulls-level disappointing but it was still very bad. Especially against the Hollanders. The defensive play in that game was terrible. I feel like the Bunny Rangers game was okay, just unlucky. But there's still much to be desired. I'm not happy." Reality hits you hard, kids.
