My name is Deepa Chandran. I’m originally from Palakkad, Kerala, but I grew up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. I’ve been associated with the Youth Group for over 13 years, including the last 5 years as a volunteer and teacher. It has been incredibly rewarding to watch the program grow and, more importantly, to see our students grow along with it. I don’t think I have one specific passion. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with people I care about, and being involved in things that feel meaningful. And as for my favorite food… that’s a dangerous question!  My answer definitely changes depending on my mood! 

I have work experience of 18+ years with IT industry. I have lived in India, Malaysia and now United States. My spiritual journey started during Covid times, since 2020 I am learning Vedas and Puranas. Last year we got in touch with HTYG, we had a great learning experience for our kids and this year felt like I should extend this by giving them and learn from little Bala’s.
