Research
To explore and study vast varied Himalayan natural resources and protect and manage them for posterity HBRI research activities are focused on:
• Consultative services in different fields of scientific research in floral and faunal resource identification, mobilization, analysis and research.
• Research in different biotic provinces and wetlands of Nepal and explore, document, determine conservation status and management plan.
• Exploration of medico-biological and ethniobiological value in order to preserve gene pools.
• Research on aquatic life in rivers and lakes in relation to fish diversity and fish passage design application.
• Conduct talks, seminars and informal education by also establish museum and laboratories and exhibition centre for public attraction and education.
• Publish news bulletin, journals and books.
• Exchange research information in national and international level.
