Monadnock Region food retail outlets, farms, community organizations, and state initiatives work to make local food more affordable to all citizens. There are many ways for families to boost their buying power to get the freshest food onto the dinner table.

A SNAP/ EBT card, much like a debit card, is what someone utilizing SNAP (Food Stamps) uses to purchase food at the grocery store and at some farmer’s markets and farm stands. Recently, the State of NH made even more people eligible! You will never be taking benefits from someone else if you are eligible.  If you have doubts about applying for Food Stamps, check out the beliefs and facts below. MEALS:
WINCHESTER: ACCESS is serving hot to-go meals Monday through Friday that can be picked up from the ELMM Community Center, 21 Durkee St., at 6 p.m. A pop-up food pantry is planned for Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the center.
