About Me

Hello!

My name is Anne Wilder, and I am currently a student at Western Kentucky University. I graduating with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education on December 14, 2019! Right now I am student teaching in Hardin County, KY at New Highland Elementary School. Go Bullpups! I was in Mrs. Ledford's second grade class for seven weeks, and I have moved on to Ms. Roopchan's fifth grade class for six weeks. I have been loving every minute of my time at New Highland and I know I will be sad to leave them on November 15th.

In my copious amounts of spare time (joke!) I love playing music, dancing, reading, arts and crafts, playing games, and spending time with my family.

My Mission

During my previous semester of school, I applied for and got accepted to the International Student Teaching program at WKU! Now I have a once in a lifetime opportunity to get practice teaching in Linköping, Sweden! Hooray! This website will feature a blog about what I've done to prepare for this trip, what I experienced overseas, and how it will affect the way I teach my students here in America. I don't really know what to expect yet, which is part of the point of going overseas, but I'm eager to learn!
