Apple Classroom is beneficial for monitoring students on iPads from your teacher iPad. You can view student screens, lock iPads, hide apps, open apps, open websites, and mute the volume.
You can view students' live screens from your classroom app. Use this view to monitor what students are doing without needing to see their physical iPad screen.
This is useful for locking students in a specific app. You can lock all students in 1 app, choose groups of students, or pick 1 student. They will not be able to exit the app until you open a new app or end the class.
Use the icons on the top right to control all iPads in your class.
Starting a class on Mosyle is great for when students are using iPads during centers, independent work, or even whole group lessons. It allows you, the teacher, to control what apps and websites are accessible, monitor screens, and lock iPads all from your teacher iPad.
REMEMBER TO END YOUR CLASS BEFORE STUDENTS LEAVE YOUR ROOM!
This is useful for keeping students off of unwanted websites. You might use this option if they are working on Lalilo (web based platform) and you don't want them to open another tab and go to a different website. It's important to type the URL exactly as it appears in the navigation bar; it's picky!
This is useful for keeping students in approved apps. You might use this when students are working on independent centers and you want to make sure they stay on task. Turning this option on will remove all other apps from their iPads until the class ends or you turn off study apps.
Guided Access is beneficial for one or two students that need extra support. When turned on, students cannot leave their current app. The teacher has to input the password to turn off Guided Access. This must be done from the student's iPad.
To turn it on, follow the steps below. Then triple click the Top Button to start a session. Quick Tip: make your password 0+site code (ex. 0180, 0175, etc.)
