Community Service

Hanover Town Clerk’s Office; Poll Worker

  • Jocelyn has worked for the over 10 years to improve quality and accuracy at Hanover polls

Hanover Open Space Committee Member, 2008-11

During her tenure, the group:

  • Expanded communication tools to Facebook and email mailing list, enabling HOSC to raise awareness and pull in a wider, younger audience
  • Formalized yearly calendar of guided walks
  • Organized to improve trail head signage for new Hanover residents
  • Volunteered as a family for work parties
  • Drove community turn out for Denham Property purchase
  • Supported North Hanover property purchase

Center Sylvester Project

  • Advised a small group of younger parents on tactics and approach for gathering support
  • Organized group of citizens to drive Get Out the Vote Effort
  • Advocated, canvassed for doing the project with today's dollars vs. another delay based largely on cost increase between 2002 vote and 2016 expects costs. Project was inevitable and will cost us as residents more than twice as much due to 16 year delay.

Other Community Volunteer Work:

  • Volunteer with kids' classes and school activities at Center/Sylvester and Hanover Middle Schools.
  • The Keegans are strong supporters of HYAA Soccer and Baseball with Dave as both commissioner and coach of the boy’s grade levels. Much to her surprise, Jocelyn even pitched in to help coach in-town baseball last summer.

These are just a few highlights of the many community service orientated projects and committees on which Jocelyn has devoted herself to serving the people and Town of Hanover.
