What is a blocking rehearsal?
BLOCKING REHEARSAL IS JUST FOR RECITAL SHOWCASE DANCERS.
IT IS A MANDATORY REHEARSAL @ THE PALACE THEATRE. DANCES WILL BE RUN IN SHOW ORDER.
FOCUS WILL BE ON FINE TUNING SPACING AND FORMATIONS AND GIVING STUDENTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET COMFORTABLE ON STAGE.
DO NOT COME IN COSTUME. JUST WEAR NORMAL DANCE CLOTHING.
What is a DRESS rehearsal?
DRESS REHEARSAL IS FOR ALL DANCERS.
IT IS A MANDATORY REHEARSAL @ THE PALACE THEATRE. DANCERS WILL BE IN FULL COSTUME, HAIR AND MAKE-UP, JUST LIKE IF IT WAS THE REAL PERFORMANCE. WE RUN DANCES IN ORDER OF THE SHOW, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF TINY TOTS, LITTLE STARS, RISING STARS AND HIPPITY HOP- THEY HAVE TIME SLOTS FOR DRESS REHEARSAL, LISTED BELOW.
FOCUS IS ON GETTING A FEEL FOR HOW THE SHOW WILL ACTUALLY RUN.
COME IN FULL COSTUME HAIR AND MAKE-UP.
Which showcase is my dancer in?
DRESS REHEARSAL SLOTS FOR OUR TINY TOTS, LITTLE STARS, AND RISING STARS CLASSES.
Monday, MAY 4th
4:15-4:30pm- Donut Shop
4:30-4:45pm- Walking Through the Seasons
4:45-5:00pm- Beeps with My Peeps
tUESDAY, MAY 5th
4:00-4:15pm- Months of the Year
4:15-4:30pm- Shark in the Water
Wednesday, MAY 6th
4:15-4:30pm- Hop Little Bunnies
4:30-4:45pm- Best Friends
If a dancer misses Blocking AND Dress Rehearsals, they will not be able to perform in the recitals. No exceptions.
It is critical to attend these dates. It is the only time we ask for 100% attendance. We need this time for our dancers to become comfortable and familiar with their performance, costumes, and the stage.

(NOT INCLUDING TINY TOTS, LITTLE STARS, RISING STARS. YOUR TIME FOR DRESS REHEARSAL IS SLOTTED ABOVE)
5:15 PM
Rehearsal for all dances in Children's showcase and Private Lessons.
This is a dress rehearsal.
*** IP Classes will not be on this day and will now be participating in blocking rehearsal and dress rehearsal on May 5&6.
May 5th
RECITAL SHOWCASE
BLOCKING REHEARSAL
PRODUCTION- 5:00-5:30PM
Act I @ 5:45 PM
Act II @ 7:45 PM
Wear regular dance clothes, NO COSTUMES.
Everyone in Act I, arrival at 5:30pm dressed and ready to go
Everyone in Act II, arrival at 7:30pm (if not already at the theatre)
Finale rehearsed at the very end of Act I and very start of Act II
May 6th
RECITAL SHOWCASE
DRESS REHEARSAL
Act I @ 5 PM
Act II @ 7 PM
This is a dress rehearsal. Come in full costume, hair, and makeup.
Everyone in Act I, arrival at 4:45pm dressed and ready to go
Everyone in Act II, arrival at 6:45pm (if not already at the theatre)
Finale rehearsed at the very end of Act I and very start of Act II
check in/out
You do not have to check in or out for rehearsals. Please head straight to assigned seats.
Students must stay in their assigned rows. In order for the practices to be safe and run on time, we need to be able to find our students! No running around, throwing food, or going in the balcony.
Parents must supervise their dancers. Only one parent is allowed into dress rehearsal to help change for ages under 10.
Staff and Assistants will gather dancers when it is their time to dance.
Once your child has run all of their dancers, you may leave.

PRODUCTION REHEARSAL WILL BE SLOTTED ON TUESDAY, MAY 5TH 5:00-5:30PM @ THE PALACE THEATRE
