In the morning, I walked to brunch with Maddie and had hot sauce with eggs. Then I headed out to Concord with Alan and some other kids. We spent time at Goodwill, and then we went to Chipotle. I ordered pulled beef, white rice, fajita mix, lettuce, salsa, and their hottest sauce in a bowl. I also got chips to dip in the mixture and root beer. I ate the first half in the car while waiting for Alan. Then, I returned to the dorm and had the other half for dinner.
For my breakfast, I got the eggs from the dining hall. I don't know where the dining hall gets its eggs, but I only got eggs because I can't have dairy and the rest of the food for breakfast had some dairy components.
Alan and I were talking about the ethics of eating at Chipotle. As it is a big fast-food chain, you know that its ingredients are not locally sourced. But their packaging is all recyclable, and there use minimal packaging. Health-wise there, their slogan is "53 real ingredients". You can see all the ingredients on their website. This transparency is much better than some other chains. That doesn't mean that the food is not mass-produced and that there aren't healthier options. But relatively, Chipotle is a good choice.
