This data is based on the data reported from each Illinois jurisdiction.
Each county maintains their own case management system and therefore we cannot guarantee that data was collected and reported in a consistent method.
There may be instances where the county misinterpreted the provided instructions and reported incorrectly.
There are data dictionaries and the instructions that were used by each county to provide guidance on submission of their data to the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts on a monthly basis.
It is each counties responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the data.
These data dictionaries and the instructions are available for reference to aid in interpretation of the datasets.
Below is a list of known discrepancies and inconsistencies to aid in interpretation of the data.

This section also encompasses cases where the client was revoked/resentenced as well as moved to administrative.
Some counties report clients as “unsatisfactory” when all terms were satisfactory but their fines were not paid in full.
Pretrial Electronic Monitoring:

Some counties broke this figure out and put it into the "Other" category and some left it in this field. Counties that have been identified as keeping it in this field, the data includes "This includes: 1. GPS with exclusion zones 2. GPS with home confinement/Curfew 3. SCRAM alcohol monitoring 4. SCRAM-X Alcohol Monitoring with Home Confinement/Curfew. Any supervision cases for which no EM was ordered, they are ‘non-electronic monitoring. If Curfew is ordered which is not accompanied with GPS, then it is Curfew (non-electronically monitored)."
Violations:
Technical Violation Outcomes do not directly correspond with Technical Violations Reported, as a violation can be reported in one month and not resolved until the next month.
