We offer two routes through the Science GCSE here at Priory. These are;
· GCSE Science – Trilogy: 2 grades awarded for combination of Biology, Chemistry and Physics
· GCSE Science – Separate Science: 1 Separate grade for each of the following, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
The GCSEs are all examined at the end of year 11 in the following way;
· GCSE Trilogy: 6 X Exams of 1 hour 15 minute exams (2 X Biology, 2 X Chemistry and 2 X Physics)
· GCSE Separate: 6 X 1 hour 45 minute exams (2 X Biology, 2 X Chemistry and 2 X Physics)

Your lessons are the best preparation for the exams. Take an active part in all lessons and complete all work set.
Science requires a lot of time to revise. Treat it like 3 separate subjects when making a revision plan. Plan time for Biology, Chemistry and Physics revision

Try to come to intervention or revision sessions prepared with a topic you want to revise (or we will pick what we think you need to do)
The GCSE requires a lot of recall. This means that memorising facts, equations and details about science experiments are vital.
Your language when answering questions must be precise. Make lists of keywords and their definitions.
