Board Members

Board of Education

Princeville has a School Board opening! Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of Princeville’s children? Do you meet the following criteria? If so, please send an email of interest to Shannon Duling, Superintendent, at sduling@princeville326.org by June 7, 2019.

School Board Member Qualifications:

To qualify for school board membership, an individual must be, as of the date of the appointment:

· a U.S. citizen;

· a resident of Illinois and the school district for at least one year preceding election;

· at least 18 years of age; and

· a registered voter.

Certain offices cannot be held simultaneously when the duties of either office create a conflict of interest. A school board member cannot be a school trustee. A school board member cannot be employed by the district (employment contracts worth more than $1,000) or have any interest directly or indirectly in any contract, work, or business of the school district or in the sale of any article to the school district.

Lastly, a school board member cannot be child sex offender (as described in Section 11-9.3 of the Criminal Code), or convicted of an “infamous” crime.

The Board hopes to interview candidates and make the appointment at the June 17th Board Meeting. For more information, please feel free to contact any current Board members or Mr. Duling.
