Annual Asbestos Notification Letter
Dear Parents and Staff:
This is to inform you of the status of the Princeville CUSD #326 asbestos management plans. It has been determined by the Illinois Department of Public Health and Federal Environmental Protection Agency that asbestos is a potential health hazard, and precautions should be taken to avoid disturbing any asbestos containing materials.
As required, our buildings were initially inspected for asbestos on:
Princeville CUSD High School - May 9, 1989
Princeville CUSD Grade School - May 9, 1989
Princeville CUSD Storage Facility - May 17, 2013
Princeville CUSD Unit Office - May 17, 2013
The AHERA law requires that a visual surveillance of asbestos containing areas be completed every six months, and a reinspected conducted every three years. Any evidence of disturbance or change in condition will be documented in the Management Plan as required.
The Inspection/Management Plans are available for public review in the Princeville CUSD #326 Unit Office, 909 N. Town Avenue, Princeville, Illinois 61559 Should you wish to review the plans, please call to make an appointment between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
