As part of our whole school literature focus week we have been exploring a book called Here I Am! by Patti Kim. Children spent a long time looking at the illustrations and making predictions.
This week as part of our maths learning children have been recognising and representing numbers 6, 7 and 8!Â
This week we visited Pudsey Library. The librarian, Lizzie, talked to us all about how libraries work and shared the story of 'The Everywhere Bear' by Julia Donaldson with us. We then had the opportunity to look at some of the books and even picked some to borrow and bring back to school.
Look at our self portraits! You can look at our old class page from Autumn 1 to see how much progress we have made!
Our first focus story of this half term was Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We spent lots of time retelling the story and completing challenges linked to the book!
This half term we will be focusing on developing skills that we will need to play different sports.
