Current members of ESJI, who are students of the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Hofstra hosted a "Clinical Psych Info Night" in October of 2021 via Zoom.
This event aims to increase access to information and create a transparent platform to address questions of potential applicants and discuss barriers and challenges in accessing and completing graduate education in the field of psychology. Further, this event aligns with the initiative's mission of working towards equity within clinical psychology and other professions in mental health by providing information to aid in the recruitment of underrepresented students.
Current graduate students of the Clinical Psychology PhD Program and members of the Diversity Committee at Hofstra hosted a "Mental Health Career Night" in May 2020 over Zoom!
The primary intention driving the event was to provide valuable information regarding varying careers in mental health to students of underrepresented backgrounds who may not have access to this type of information. Further, this event aligns with the committee's overall mission of working towards diversity and inclusion within clinical psychology and other professions in mental health by providing information to aid in the recruitment of underrepresented students.
