On Saturday, August 3rd, the Prexies Marching Band will be performing in Kennywood's 74th annual Fall Fantasy Parade.
On Wednesday, August 14th @ 6 PM, the Prexies Marching Band will perform at the annual Washington County Fair.
Juneteenth 2024
The "Prexies" Marching Band participated in the NAACP's Washington Juneteenth Parade on Saturday, June 14th.
Seton Hill University
The Steel Drum Band performed for an alumni celebration at Seton Hill University on Saturday, June 8th.
2024 Virginia Beach Spring Trip
The Wash High Band brought home the 3rd place trophy at the Music in the Parks Festival at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA. The Band stayed at an oceanfront hotel in Virginia Beach, toured Colonial Williamsburg, and spent the day at Busch Gardens.
2024 Senior Band Awards
Our senior awards night was held on Monday, May 8th, at the Lions Pavilion in Washington Park. Our Special Award winners were (left to right) Darbee Phillips, Danielle Phillips, and Cheyenne Desmond. Darbee received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and the Paul E. Harding Director's Award. Danielle received the J. Marc Svaline Steel Band Citation of Excellence. Cheyenne received the Philip Sousa Band Award and the David A. Dayton Memorial Scholarship of $1000!
Canon McMillan HS Steel Band Festival
On Tuesday, April 9th, the Steel Drum Band performed with the Greenville HS and Canon McMillan HS steel bands.
2024 Kids Fest
The Wash High Steel Drum Band once again stole the show at the 2024 Kids Fest! The event was held at the Washington Crown Center. The band performed from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
