1. The Department of Statistics celebrated Statistics Day at the P.C. Mahalanabis Auditorium on 29th June 2023  as a joint program with NSSO and Other Statistics Offices of Kolkata, Govt of India. Click here for the images. 

2. Prof. Raghu Nandan Sengupta from IIT Kanpur,India delivered a lecture on the topic 'Sequential Estimation for the Multiple Linear Regression Models with balanced Loss Function' on 7th June 2023. Click here for the images. 

3. Dr. Arunabha Majumdar, Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Mathematics, IIT Hyderabad  delivered a talk on "A Bayesian method for estimating gene-level polygenicity under the framework of transcriptome-wide association study" on 10th March, 2023.  Click here for the images. 

4. The STAT CUP 2023 was organized on 13.02.2023 at the Presi grounds. Four teams consisting of students and staffs from Department of Statistics particpated. Congratulations to all the students for such an initiative. Team Bernoulli Blasters won the trophy. For images click here.
