I have pursued research in the field of Biotechnology because I enjoy the application of logical thinking as a tool for exploring and satisfying my curiosity about the world around me. Teaching is an important part of my career and I am a potential research aspirant too. My passion for teaching and research cannot be split since they are dependent on each other. Therefore, teaching combined with research is required for the progress of a teacher, students, laboratory as well the organization.
Various tasks such as cut, paste and copy of DNA and RNA, golden rice and dolly, the cloned sheep, these revolutionized inventions inspired me to take up biotechnology as my career. Exploring the living world and technological advances to improve our living has been very exciting.
I am inspired by my teachers and their success stories and experiences that have motivated me to pursue research. Now, I want to share that with others. As a teacher my primary objective is to teach the students and help them to improve their analytical skills in the area of life sciences. This might also be useful in developing logical thinking and building a personality.
Doctoral study is a significant milestone in the perpetual journey to education in proving the skills and knowledge that I have learnt. I have worked on a disease of agriculturally important crop, rice. The rice blast disease caused by Magnaporthe oryzae is one of the most devastating diseases of rice.
I have worked on the blast disease of agriculturally important crop, rice. The rice blast disease caused by Magnaporthe oryzae is one of the most devastating diseases of rice crop across the globe. My contribution in research throws a lot of new insights in regard to functioning of GPCRs in this plant pathogenic fungus. The insights coming from our work would help other plant molecular pathologists to investigate and understand the biology of other foliar fungal pathogens. I am able to analyze and solve various biological problems systematically and finally completed this PhD marathon in Jan 16, 2018. I have successfully achieved. My research interest lies in studying host-pathogen interactions, especially the plant pathogens.
