Prof. Niloy Bose, Director of Graduate Studies, Virginia Tech discussed the features of the MoU and benefits and its benefits for students of Presidency University.
The session was held at 2.30 PM in the P C Mahalonobis Auditorium after the exchange of MoUs.
The formal transfer of MoUs between Prof. Nirmalya Narayan Chakrabarty, Honourable Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Niloy Bose of Virginia Tech University occurred on 26th November 2024.
Prof. Chakrabarty welcomed the endeavour and commented on the benefits for students of Presidency University. He also congratulated the efforts of all faculty members of the Department.
Prof. Bose discussed the status and ranking of Virginia Tech University, objectives of the programme, the process of selection and credit transfer, possible career options before students and the financial implications. A lively discussion followed in which faculty members, administrative officials and students sought clarifications on several issues.
The session was attended by over 70 students from Presidency University and students from other colleges in Calcutta.
