This class will be running live from January 2026 until February 2026, with online Q&A sessions.

Parenting invites us into some of the most meaningful moments of our lives. It also places us face to face with reactivity, fatigue, self-doubt, and emotional intensity (often all before breakfast).
Introduction to Mindfulness for Parents is a gentle 3-week journey designed to help you shift from reactive patterns to more responsive, grounded, and connected ways of being with your children. This course offers a clear and accessible introduction to mindfulness meditation, rooted in real family life, not idealised calm.
Through simple, practical mindfulness tools, you will learn how to pause rather than react, how to work skilfully with emotions (yours and your children’s), and how to reconnect with a sense of warmth and steadiness within yourself.
Whether you are completely new to meditation or returning after a break, this course creates a supportive foundation you can build on... both in your parenting and in your wider life.
Introduction to Mindfulness for Parents is a short, supportive online programme designed to introduce parents to mindfulness meditation and its application in everyday family life.
Format: A three-week journey with weekly on-demand content, including teaching videos, guided meditations, reflective prompts, and practical tools you can use immediately. Each session combines learning, direct experience, and integration into daily life.
Live and recorded: Each session includes a short teaching, a guided mindfulness meditation, reflections to explore between sessions, space for questions and answers. All content is hosted on a private website, allowing you to revisit practices at your own pace.
Suggested Start Date: The live sessions with Q&A happen at the start of the year (between January and February), but you may begin at any time. Many parents find it helpful to start at the beginning of a month to establish a gentle rhythm throughout the month.
Open to All: Created for parents, and open to carers, grandparents, educators, and anyone supporting children. No prior meditation experience is required.
Each week includes:
A clear, accessible teaching introducing a key mindfulness theme;
One or more guided mindfulness practices;
Reflection prompts to support insight and integration;
Practical suggestions for bringing mindfulness into everyday parenting moments.
The structure is intentionally simple and spacious. This is not about adding more to your to-do list — it is about learning how to meet what is already there with more awareness and care.
You are introduced to mindfulness meditation and its relevance for parenting. This week focuses on learning how to place and stabilise attention, cultivating presence, and beginning to notice habitual reactions with curiosity rather than judgment.
This week explores emotions as natural human experiences. You learn how to recognise and name your own emotions, differentiate them from your children’s emotions, and use the breath and body as anchors when feelings run strong.
The final week focuses on cultivating a warm, compassionate relationship with yourself and your child. You explore mindfulness as a practice of love, learn how to bring your practice into the world, and reflect on how to continue beyond the course.
