Preparing Your Child
for Field Trips & Camp
Preparation for Field Trips:
Meals: Students will need to bring lunches on each field trip, including the first day of camp. Please select on the permission slip if you want to have a lunch provided by the school (the cost is the same as a regular school lunch and free/reduced lunch rates apply). If you send a lunch, do NOT include glass or breakable containers and try to minimize wrappers and other items that could be left as litter. All garbage from student lunches will need to be packed out by the student for future disposal.
Attire: We do not encourage students to “go in the water,” but wet feet are often a consequence of spending time near lakes and creeks. Please talk to your child about whether or not they are allowed to get wet. We recommend closed-toed shoes and outdoor field trip clothes that are comfortable, weather appropriate, and durable; we highly recommend layering clothing so your child will be comfortable in changing weather conditions or altitudes. School dress code always applies.

Preparation for Camp Trip:
Camp Meals: For the first day of camp, all students will need to bring a lunch, and the remaining meals will be provided by the camp in accordance with all nutritional guidelines. Students may not bring any other food or snacks to camp. If your student has a food allergy or dietary restriction you MUST list it on the Permission Form or we cannot guarantee appropriate food for your child.
