Ruth Street Theater (RST) has rapidly become one of the most desirable and exciting venues in the Prescott area. Newly refreshed and updated with state-of-the-art lighting and sound, our venue seats 680 and hosts season performances for the Arizona Philharmonic, Central Arizona Concert Band, and the Prescott Chorale. We are proud to provide a professional and welcoming environment for the Prescott Jazz Summit, the Margot Fonteyn Academy of Ballet Christmas Gala, Yavapai Ballet Theatre's production of "The Nutcracker," and other outstanding professionally produced events.
Our commitment to our community and our schools is our number one priority. The theater is the centerpiece of the Prescott High School Performing and Fine Arts Center. Classrooms for Art, Band, Choir, Drama, Orchestra, and Stage Craft surround our beautiful stage. The lobby area is the PHS and PUSD Art Gallery, displaying student art year-round. The performing groups perform concerts, plays, and musicals throughout the year. Prescott High School performing and fine arts programs have a reputation for excellence and quality throughout the state of Arizona.

Prescott Unified School District broke ground for the Ruth Street Theater in 1991
Hendrix Auditorium is our sister theater in the Prescott Unified School District. Built in 1939, it is a historic gem that seats 890!
