Robotics and Coding

Bee Bots

Beebots are specifically made for young learners. They are programmed by pushing buttons on top to go forward, backward, right, and left. Beebots are used on a mat and students can move them to a letter, a number, a sight word, or another image. Students have fun while they are beginning to think in step by step directions...the first part of programming. We have purchased a set of Bee Bots with money from our STEM fund, which is raised at the Parent Committee Casino Nights...THANK YOU!

Dash and Dot

A fun and varied duo! Dash moves around and Dot stands still, both are operated from apps on a tablet (not included). Dash can be driven freehand and also lay out a path to execute. There are also games, coding, and accessories to use with Dot and Dash. The Malone Parent Committee generously donated our Dash and Dot for our robotics club to use....THANK YOU!

Ozobot

Ozobots are fun hands on robots that can be programmed both via tablet/computer and also by drawing a path and using colored codes to tell the Ozobot to slowdown, do a u-turn, or spin around and all kinds of other tricks. Students plan out their paths and can use Ozobots to share learning about measurement, geometry, and story maps. Our Ozobots were donated by a generous Malone STEM supporter.

Sphero

Spheros are spheres that are operated using an ipad. Students can steer the Sphero in any direction using code, or with a joystick type control.
