REMINDER - VALUABLES FROM HOME
We are seeing an increase in items coming to school from home, especially Labubu's. See below our policy on valuables from home:
Because the school cannot guarantee valuables will not get lost or stolen, students are also asked to not bring electronic devices and items like Pokemon, baseball, or football cards to school or on the bus. It is also discouraged to have fun items hanging from their backpack, the school will not guarantee that these items will not go missing. The school is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. If a staff member sees a student has these items, they will take them until the end of the school day & a note will be sent home asking for them not to be sent to school. If the same student is seen with them again, we will ask for the parent to come pick the items up from school. We also discourage bringing valuable articles of clothing and large amounts of money to school. Student Handbook, Pg. 9
2025 MPC Holiday Shopping Spree
Once again, the Malone Parent Committee will be hosting the Holiday Shopping Spree. This is intended to allow students to shop for family and friends for the holidays.
Your child is under no obligation to participate.
All merchandise is new and ranges in price from $1-$6.
We are always accepting donations (new merchandise only) throughout the year.
Children in grades K-3 will be bussed to Prescott Intermediate for the event.
Please consider volunteering and supporting this special event, any amount of time is appreciated. To volunteer or if you have questions, please contact MPC at maloneparentcommittee@gmail.com.
To help volunteers assist your child with shopping please complete the “Gift List Planner”
This is intended to give the volunteers information about who your child is shopping for and the approximate amount of money your child should spend on each person on their list.
Send the Gift List Planner and money (sealed in the attached envelope) with a paper bag for bringing gifts home to school by Monday, December 8.

Reporting absences: Enter on Infinite Campus Parent Portal or call the main office at 715-262-5463
Half-day absence: Missing 10 Minutes up to 50% of the school day
Full-day: Missing 50% or more of the school day
Chronic absence: Missing more than 10% of school days ( about 18 days, or 2 per month)
Excused absences: Accepted reasons, including medical appointments with documentation
Unexcused/truant absences: When no acceptable excuse is provided (10 minutes or more counts as part of a day)
Allowed each school year:
10 written, pre-planned absences from a parent/guardian
4 oral or written parent/guardian illness absences
Extended illness: Notes must be renewed every 30 days

MALONE PARENT COMMITTEE (MPC)
We are Looking for new members! Everyone is Welcome!
The Malone Parent Committee is a volunteer organization open to all interested parents. Becoming an active member is a great way to get involved at your child’s school and make a noticeable impact. The committee meets the second Tuesday of the month in the library at Malone Elementary School during the school year and consists of members from the community, parents, and school staff.
MPC volunteers make a difference and are vital to the success of the committee. Volunteers are needed to continue our mission to support students and staff.
