LaunchING Your PD Adventure

Step 1: Identify the Destination

Before you run an experiment, you need to have a theory to test; before you start planning an adventure, you need to at least have a destination in mind. Step one of the Educator Innovation Lab is all about setting the course for your PD Adventure. Join an in-person session designed to help you focus in on one core idea, lesson, unit, or other aspect of your craft to launch your PD Adventure.

Through this collaborative, hands-on workshop, you will identify areas, lessons, or units where you want to try something different and then design your own Action Research plan. With that destination in mind, you can then start to plan your summer PD adventure.

GOALS of Step 1:

  • Reflect on your teaching practice.
  • Network and brainstorm topics with other educators.
  • Identify topics for personal exploration.
  • Identify partners for potential collaboration.
  • Lay out your action plan.
