Here are the steps to access the Learning Portal:
Teachers, principals, can create a Learning Portal account using Portland School district-issued email, and following the registration steps here: http://join.ccclearningportal.org/
Once you finish your activation through email and receive a confirmation email, you will be able to sign onto the Learning Portal https://ccclearningportal.org/. You will then be able to select "Licenses" under your name dropdown and claim the resources you need.

CSC Guidance for Educators (includes guidance around pronouns)
PPS has allocated 20 minutes/day of SEL instruction into the K-5 master schedule. This is the recommended weekly sequence of instruction to facilitate CSC with fidelity during the 100 weekly SEL minutes.
Morning Circle
15-20 minutes
Grades K-1, Five days per week
Grades 2-5, Four days per week
Greeting (use of name)
Brief News and Announcements (2-3 minutes)
Activity based on Social Development Focus for the Week
Weekly random partner assigned every Monday
Strong facilitation using embedded guidance, highlighting student voice
Reflection questions daily
Secret Student (K-1)/Spotlight Student (2-5) one day per week
Class Meeting (Grades 2-5)
20 minutes, 1 day per week
Typically follow the 3 days of focused Morning Circle (M, Tues, Thurs)
Includes check-in from previous week’s topic
Partner conversation and collaboration, highlighting student voice, problem solving and decision making
Strong facilitation using embedded guidance
