An important component of the adoption process has been the creation of the Selection Criteria. Stakeholder voice was a crucial element of this process. These criteria guide the decision-making process for the adoption committee (Advisors on Instructional Resources). Developing the Selection Criteria was a multi-step process involving the following action steps:
A draft Selection Criteria rubric was created by the AIR committee.
Stakeholder feedback (student, family/caregiver, staff, and community) was elicited on the draft of the Selection Criteria.
The AIR committee analyzed and integrated the feedback from these stakeholders and drafted the final Selection Criteria.
