Welcome back to the Counselor Corner!
Every month, the Counselor Corner will introduce the Anchor of the Month to families as well as give a preview of counseling lessons. For September, the Anchor of the Month is Curiosity. We’re getting curious about school and asking questions all month long! Support your students by engaging their curious minds in what they’re learning about and what they want to know.
In counseling, we are introducing lessons by getting to know each other, learning more about what counseling is, and talking about how to see Ms. Ashley. In addition, K12 students will learn about lockdown drills later this month using the trauma-informed Sammy and Friends lesson plan to prepare for our first lockdown drill. 345 students and 678 students will also get a refresher on lockdown drills.
The Odyssey Counseling Website is also under construction! Stay tuned for an updated website with a bio about Ms. Ashley and resources for students and families.
