In Spring of 2023, PPS Successful Schedule Project Team worked with Dr. Ann McCarty Perez, author of The Successful Middle School Schedule, to establish a vision for future schedules and strengthen options within 5 of 6 schedules and 5 of 7 schedules for 2023-2024, including Advisory Programming. 

This year, our team is building upon this foundational work, offering scheduling workshops and support for school administrators:

Phase 1 K-8 & 6-8 Foundational Scheduling Session & Core Program Overview (with departmental support)

Date: February 16, 2024 1:00-3:30 at the PEC in Mazama (PEC)

Phase 2 K-8 AM / 6-8 PM Collaborative Work Time - Opportunities for peer-to-peer collaboration and support with building your schedule

Date: March 8th, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM K-8 Workshop (PEC, Floor 2, Elevator) March 8th, 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM 6-8 Workshop (PEC, Floor 2, Elevator)

Phase 3 Technical Support & Partnership - Site Specific Workshops as needed/requested (to be scheduled through Bookable Appointments Schedule)

Date: Ongoing between March 11 and April by site request

Phase 4: Schedule Review Meeting with Senior Director of Schools and Senior Director of Middle Grades Core Academics and Redesign or Director of Middle Grades Redesign to review and sign off the 2024-2025 Middle Grades Schoolwide Scheduling Checklist
