The ESL Department is excited to launch our webcast specifically for our EB families, ESL Chat time. Our team of ESL Community agents will be broadcasting live, linguistically and culturally responsive video chats sessions each week, Monday-Thursday via the PPS YouTube Channel and PPS Channel 28 (on Comcast).
The first part of each show will be devoted to content, followed by PPS/ESL updates with plenty of time for parents to call in for questions and answers to be answered “on the air.” Our hope is that this time will help our EB families stay connected, share parent-driven ways to navigate our school system and create a broader community of ESL parents across the district.
ESL Assistant Director, Jennifer Hernandez delivered our pilot sessions in English and each CA will host their show in their language. Each meeting will be archived on YouTube (and below) in our ESL Chat Time playlist.
