Welcome to Kindergarten!

Dear Kindergarten Families,

I am thrilled to be your child's kindergarten teacher! I look forward to getting to know your child and their likes, dislikes, sense of humor, strengths and unique qualities. Let the learning and fun begin!

This is my nineteenth year teaching – my sixteenth year at the kindergarten level and my ninth school year at Stephenson. I LOVE this age group. It is a year of huge growth for children academically and socially. Students are full of energy and a thirst for knowledge. They love to sing, wiggle and learn. It doesn’t get better than kindergarten, in my opinion.

I have three goals as your child’s teacher. First, I want them to love coming to school. Second, I want your child to not only learn the academic fundamentals they will need, but also to reach for the stars. Finally, I recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both home and school. I hope that you and I will work together to make your child’s schooling a success. A strong partnership will make a great difference in your child’s education.
