MS Choirs

6th Grade Choir

This choir is open to all 6th Grade students, regardless of experience level.  Students will learn lessons in proper vocal production, choral singing, vocal sight-reading, and music theory.  Participation in three after-school concerts and choral festival is required.

7th Grade Treble Choir

This choir is open to 7th Grade students that sing in the soprano/alto voice range.  All experience levels are welcome.  Students will learn lessons in proper vocal production, choral singing, vocal sight-reading, and music theory.  Participation in three after-school concerts and choral festival is required.

8th Grade Treble Choir

This choir is open to 8th Grade students that sing in the soprano/alto voice range.  All experience levels are welcome.  Students will learn lessons in proper vocal production, choral singing, vocal sight-reading, and music theory.  Participation in three after-school concerts and choral festival is required.

MS Tenor-Bass Choir

This choir is open to 7th and 8th Grade students that sing in the tenor/bass voice range, or students whose voices will soon change to those voice ranges.  All experience levels are welcome.  Students will learn lessons in proper vocal production, choral singing, vocal sight-reading, and music theory.  Participation in three after-school concerts and choral festival is required.

MS Chorale

This extracurricular choir is open to 7th and 8th Grade students that are currently enrolled in a choir class.  This auditioned ensemble is meant to challenge our more advanced students and to provide them another opportunity to create music.  Auditions take place in November, and the group will practice on Tuesdays from 2:45-3:45 pm in December through February in order to perform at District Choral Festival.  Look for information about auditions as we get into the school year. This group may not be offerred every year depending on instructor availability and student interest.
