HS Tenor-Bass Choir
This choir is open to any student with a tenor/bass voice who has an interest in singing and learning about choral music. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience or ability level; the only requirement is that you bring your best effort every day. Students will learn how to sing with a healthy tone while blending in a group of similar voice ranges. They will learn the fundamentals of reading music, and lessons in music theory and music history will also be incorporated. Beginning/intermediate TBB choral repertoire of a variety of styles will be studied and performed, including, but not limited to classical, contemporary, jazz, and pop. Students will perform in four required after-school concerts throughout the year and will participate in Choral Festival. Students must enroll in all three trimesters of this course.
HS Treble Choir
This choir is open to any student with a soprano/alto voice who has an interest in singing and learning about choral music. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience or ability level; the only requirement is that you bring your best effort every day. Students will learn how to sing with a healthy tone while blending in a group of similar voice ranges. They will learn the fundamentals of reading music, and lessons in music theory and music history will also be incorporated. Beginning/intermediate SSA choral repertoire of a variety of styles will be studied and performed, including, but not limited to classical, contemporary, jazz, and pop. Students will perform in four required after-school concerts throughout the year and will participate in Choral Festival. Students must enroll in all three trimesters of this course.
Voices of the Future
This choir is a select group open to students by audition only that want to challenge themselves in a music setting. It is expected that students have some prior experience in vocal or instrumental music. Students will continue to develop their individual voices and ears to be able to sing music that is melodically, rhythmically, and harmonically challenging . They will learn how to read music at an intermediate-advanced level, and lessons in music theory and music history will also be incorporated. Advanced SATB choral repertoire of a variety of styles will be studied and performed, including, but not limited to classical, contemporary, jazz, and pop. Students will perform in four required after-school concerts throughout the year and will participate in Choral Festival. Several other performance opportunities also come up on a year-to-year basis, and these will be communicated as early as possible. Students must enroll in all three trimesters of this course.
Select Treble Ensemble
This choir is a select group open to soprano and alto students by audition only that want to challenge themselves in a music setting. This group will meet once a week after school for 1.5 hours. It is expected that students have some prior experience in vocal or instrumental music, and they must be enrolled in a choir class to participate (or have special instructor permission). Advanced SSAA choral repertoire of a variety of styles will be studied and performed, including, but not limited to classical, contemporary, jazz, and pop. Students will perform in four required after-school concerts throughout the year and will participate in Choral/Solo & Ensemble Festival. Several other performance opportunities also come up on a year-to-year basis, and these will be communicated as early as possible. Because this group rehearses less often than the curricular ensembles, a higher emphasis on personal practice time is expected.

It is expected that students have some prior experience in vocal or instrumental music, and they must be enrolled in a choir class to participate (or have special instructor permission). Advanced TTBB choral repertoire of a variety of styles will be studied and performed, including, but not limited to classical, contemporary, jazz, and pop. Students will perform in four required after-school concerts throughout the year and will participate in Choral/Solo & Ensemble Festival. Several other performance opportunities also come up on a year-to-year basis, and these will be communicated as early as possible. Because this group rehearses less often than the curricular ensembles, a higher emphasis on personal practice time is expected.
