August/September 2023

We are off to a great start in our Enrichment room! As we dive into the exciting world of STEM Enrichment, our students have made some incredible discoveries. 

This year you will hear your child talk about the 4 C’s: Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. These skills are not only essential in the world of STEM, but in every aspect of life. Throughout August and September, our young engineers have been focusing on collaboration and communication. We learned that teamwork and effective communication are key elements in solving complex problems, just as engineers do in their daily work.

With hands-on activities, each grade level has been honing their problem-solving skills and learning the importance of working together. Using our versatile makerspace materials such as LEGOs, KEVA Planks, and simple items like cups, straws, tape, and string, our students have worked on collaboration. Through these activities they have learned the value of working together, sharing ideas, and communicating effectively to achieve their goals.
