Swizerland is located in Europe. Its borders are France, Austria, Germany and Italy. The population is 8.57 million(2019). This is where it is located in Europe. The area of Switzerland is 41,285 km squared.

Unlike some other countries, Switzerland does not have its official capital city. Bern is considered to be the capital of Switzerland. The largest city in Switzerland is Zurich. Here is a picture of Bern.

This is the currency of Switzerland. It is called Swiss Franc. I Swiss Franc equals 94 cents. Switzerland is also known as the most expensive country to visit in the world.
Switzerland is also home of the most expensive school in the world. The Institut Le Rosey has held many Guinness World Records. The annual fees for a single student is €97,014!! But back in 1955, the annual cost was €1106 per student. Le Rosey even has a winter campus in the ski resort of Gstaad!!

Here is a YouTube video of the national anthem of Switzerland. It is called the Swiss Palms. It was composed in 1841 by Alberich Zwyssing (1801-1854).
Now here is the moment you have been waiting for... I will finally tell you about the Swiss Alps!!!
Here is a picture of Lake Geneva
The Swiss Alps acctualy spread around a few countries, since Switzerland is very small. These include: France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Italy, Austria, Slovenia and Switzerland itself. The Alps are located in the South of the Swiss Plateau and North of the National Border. Between the Alps and the Plateau flows the Lake Geneva. It is always beautiful there.
Did you know that the Alps were formed 55 milion years ago when a part of Africa collided with Europe?
Thanks for watching my project!! Hopefully I did not bore you (though I highly doubt it). I highly recommend Switzerland for a small (or big) holiday. Hope you enjoyed!! By Ann Chen
