Grade 9 Biology 2024 - Powers Catholic High School

All incoming freshmen are expected to complete the following tasks this summer, in order to be prepared for science class this fall.

Course Paperwork and Preparation

1.      Download the following apps onto your iPad:

a.      Sparkvue by PASCO Scientific (Free)

This software is used to connect to several electronic sensors that we will use during a student’s tenure at Powers Catholic.

b.      Notability by Ginger Labs (Cost usually at or under $14.99)

This software is used by many different teachers in most departments for:

1.      Taking notes

2.      Writing assignments

3.      Highlighting notes

2.      Download, print, read, sign, and have your parent/guardian read and sign the Lab Safety Contract. Turn in to your science teacher on the first day of school. Go to the following link for the contract: https://tinyurl.com/pchs9safety
