FAQs
Why should we attend Coach Powers Camp?
Players will get hours of instruction per day from a quality coaching staff comprised of high school and youth coaches, former and current college players. Players will play three 5 on 5 games per day, plus skill stations, contests, and individualized instruction. We will be teaching the game to each camper with the goal to improve their basketball IQ and skill level. In addition, the camp will be held in the state of the art facilities at Eastern Mennonite University and each camper will get 3 nutritious meals a day in the university cafeteria.
How much does it cost?
Tuition for camp includes 4 days of camp, 3 nights in the dorms (3 days and 2 nights for girls camp), 3 meals a day and a camp T-shirt. This is one of the cheapest overnight camps around! A small number of commuter campers will be allowed which includes lunch, dinner and a camp t-shirt.

How are the boys divided up at camp?
Campers will be placed in divisions based on age to start. 4th and 5th graders together, 6th and 7th graders together and so on. After the initial evaluation games some campers may be moved up or down a division if we feel it is better for their development. Teammates that attend camp are not guaranteed to be on the same team. We will not be placing players from the same youth team or High School on the same team intentionally, but it may happen by chance.
Can camp sell out and how will I know if my sons age group is sold out?
Our max number of campers will be 160, but we will only allow 40 in each age division. Some age groups will sell out before others. Once an age group sells out it will no longer be an option on the registration form. You will have an option to be added to a waiting list if your division or the camp sells out.
Can we pick our roommates?
Yes you can. All campers will be assigned a roommate of the same age. We will allow you to request a roommate and as long as both participants have each other on their registration form we will be able to accommodate the requests.
