Hello Valley Students and Families,

I am truly honored to serve as the School Counselor at Valley. I have been part of this incredible school community since 2009. I was born and raised in San Diego, and I am a proud wife and mother of three wonderful children. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, going to the beach, having movie nights, attending baseball games, and traveling to Mexico to visit our extended family. In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks and connecting with family and friends.

At Valley, I am here to support students, parents, and staff. I work closely with our Student Services Team to help foster a positive and successful school environment for all. Many of you have experienced firsthand that Valley is a truly special place. Our dedicated staff is deeply committed to helping every student learn, grow, and thrive.

I created this website as a resource for our school community, and I hope you find the information helpful and supportive.

Mrs. Tammy Oltman is Valley’s Student Services Assistant. She provides social support to the students on the playground at recess time as well as Social Emotional lessons in the classroom. She is excited to be a part of the Valley community.

Mrs. Tammy grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa. Coincidentally, her high school was the Valley Tigers! Mrs. Tammy lives in Poway with her husband and 3 kids. Her hobbies include running, kickboxing, and cooking traditional Thai food with her family. In her free time she enjoys traveling and movie nights with her husband.
