Ms.Moran was one of the few classes that went to Petco Park. Ms. Moran class contains 24 students. These 24 students are, Belen, Ethan, Baton, Leslie, Aiden.G , Ava, Ze'ev, Mason, Kennedy, Aiden.L, Genesis, Gabrielle, Tanvi, Miriam, Jacob, Raelyenne, Isiah, Leo, Kayla, Brody, Alexandra,Beau,Kaleb,Ella. I believe these kids have had a great time at Petco Park.
I am gonna interview 3 of my classmates to see their opinions about Petco Park, " Fun because we saw trophies and statues about well-known baseball players that had unfortunately passed away, " responded Leo Trawalter to the question. "Good because I got to learn history about the Padres and I got to see it with my whole class. It will be a wonderful memory," added Alexandra Vega. " I did not have that much fun, because all we did was tour", replied Mason Lamb. It seems that 2/3 people I asked had fun at Petco Park.
People ask "What did you do at Petco Park" We took a tour of Petco Park to see it. They also ask "Why weren't there any players?" I believe they were on vacation for not having any games.
Why People Should Attend Petco Park
By Daisy Zimmerman
Have you ever been to a Padre game at Petco Park? Well, If you haven't, then after reading this you should consider going because of 3 reasons.
First of all, both people I interviewed said that they loved Petco Park. Even though one of them hadn't ever gone before they both enjoyed the experience and especially loved the Press Box and the Jome Plate Club. They got to see where all the newspaper writers got to sit and even the luxury of watching the game as a Home Plate Club member.
Next, one of the students I interviewed named Clara said that Petco Park is pretty much the happiest place on Earth for her. She's been there so many times and knows a lot of things about the stadium but it never loses her interest. If you don't know the happiest place on Earth is Disney World, but she thinks that Petco Park is much better.
Lastly, the other student I interviewed named Lilli had never ever been there before unlike Clara. She didn't really have an idea about how a game day was or a non-game day was for the Padres, but after the trip, she felt like she would want to revisit on a game day to watch the Padres play.
One field trip that are classified that was similar to the Petco Park experience was when we went to JA BizTown which we were working and do and during Petco we could also learn about jobs and working in businesses.

Today on April 24 2024, I got the opportunity to interview two students attending Midland Elementary school. Yesterday, they got to experience Pet-co Park at it's greatest.
Fifth Grade student Clara Balcome stated that her and her parents go almost every week, a true padres family. Her Mom is a season ticket holder they love watching their favorite players hit tons of home runs.
I asked her and another student, Brynn Dicarlo, their thoughts of why they would return and they both knew exactly what to say immediately and shared one common theme- The new Gallagher Square! Dicarlo later stated, "I got to go to the padres game with my dad on Friday!" I then asked her, what was your favorite part? She replied with a simple answer- "Gallagher Square! I love baseball and I hit a home run! The park was awesome too, but the main attraction was definitely Gallagher square." Once again goes to show that the padres take it one step further.
Clara was very excited to visit her favorite ball park. Even her dad who was chaperoning for this exciting day was impressed. Brynn also added that she was extremely happy when she saw the bats of former padres. She also enjoyed the area of which the members of the home plate club could watch the players in the batting cage with unlimited food and ice cream from not one, but two ice cream machines!
Don't forget, new giveaways are coming out soon. See you at Pet-co park, Let's go padres!
-Quinn Hatch of Midland Elementary
During a recent interview with fifth graders from Mr. Gentile's class at Midland Elementary, I had the privilege of hearing about their experience on a field trip to Petco Park, home of the Padres in April 2024. Two students, Ashlyn Royal and Matan Hazan, shared their unique perspectives on the outing.
Ashlyn, who was visiting Petco Park for the first time, was awestruck by the sheer size of the stadium. However, she admitted feeling somewhat frightened as she thought the tour would take them to high heights within the stadium. On the other hand, Matan, who had been to the stadium two or three times before, commented on feeling “kind of excited, kind of bummed’ upon entering the ballpark. Having seen the park before, he may have been used to seeing the park. Nonetheless, the experience of watching a Padres game and all the things you can do and see at Petco Park makes it worth the visit every time.
When asked about their highlights from the visit, Matan mentioned enjoying the Media Box, where reporters and other media crew sit and watch the game while reporting on important events. Ashlyn, on the other hand, found the stadium “really nice to look at.”
I also asked the students if they would return to Petco Park and if so, why. Ashlyn did not did not respond much on the subject. However, Matan said that he would return "just for fun" and "because he wanted to."
Two of the questions asked were on the subject of the variety of jobs you can have working for the Padres at Petco Park. Before the field trip, the only two that would come to mind for me when thinking about Padres jobs were a player and a coach, but there are so many more things that you can do! Ashlyn stated that she would enjoy doing marketing, as she believed it was one of the easiest. "Field workers sound pretty interesting, because you get to step on the field, and most people don't get to do that. Marketing [too], because I think I'm good at making advertisements," commented Matan on the matter.
The final question of the interview was one thing that they either liked or inspired them, or something that they felt they would take away from the experience. Ashlyn had an interesting insight on the matter, her thoughts directing her to the historical building that was so carefully integrated into the ballpark during its construction. I suppose they didn't have a choice, however. The historical building had to be kept!
Midland wasn’t the only school that came on the trip to Petco Park. Five other schools had the opportunity to go! I believe that they all had fun, too. Disappointingly, the Padres had a game in Colorado that day, so the only player we got to see was Yu Darvish, running on the field to help get him back in the game from his injury. All in all, I believe a majority of kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience in the Padres Stadium!
So basically when I interviewed some classmates they said they loved it because we got to eat a snack and lunch also someone would show us around and give us a tour and that was the best part.
Also, I asked Clara about why it was fun and she said it was the best place on earth and when she ate lunch she got to sit with some of her friends who were not even in her class.
In my opinion, I think this field trip was really fun and I would really recommend going!

Many schools around the county enjoyed the amazing Project Padres field trip to Petco Park. So many kids were satisfied on the bus ride home, and that's not all they went home with. Erik Stone and Raghav Deshpande (Both Midland Elementary students) shared their thoughts on the field trip.
"It was my first time," said 5th Grader Raghav Deshpande, "And what caught my attention was the field, cause you know, it's so big." The Project Padres field trip helped kids find what they would be good at when they grow up. Erik Stone explained that his patience and precise leveling skills would make him a great Groundskeeper. Raghav explained how he was interested in some of the jobs the panel explained. "I like interviewing people, so I would see myself being a Journalist or the Marketing one." Both kids explained their want to come back to Petco Park eventually.
Project Padres also helps kids with special needs find what they would be good at also, and many kids with special needs were thankful for the opportunity to go to Petco Park. One thing's certain, Project Padres is helping kids find their brighter future. Go Padres!
