Caring Connections:
Caring Connections Counseling is for Poway USD students in grades K-12 who may be experiencing any of the following: difficult situations at home or in school, depression, continued academic failure, involvement in violence-related offenses, alcohol or other drug related behavior. Families may be referred by school personnel, or may choose to self-refer for assistance.

Zones of Regulation:
The Zones of Regulation is an evidence-based curriculum that I use to teach students emotional self-regulation using colors. It encompasses self-control, anger management, sensory regulation, and resilience.
We will be implementing this social-emotional program schoolwide!
This grounding exercise is a simple one that children can start with. All they need to do is pay attention to their senses. Slowly and steadily, have your child identify five things they can see, four things they can hear, three things they can smell, two things they can touch, and one thing they can taste.
