For this piece it was really about display examples from my life where I have been outcasted, judged, left out, or rejected. The black butterflies represent a feeling of being watched and judged so when the butterflies in the top are white with all the flowers, it represents this idea that there isn’t the worry of being judged and so the flowers are able to grow like me. There are no faces because 1) I didn’t wanna call out specific people and 2) because there’s this blur of memory because my mind has wanted to reject the idea so I mostly remember the feeling and setting, but not exact people. The red, green, blue, and orange sections all represent a battle with one form of being outcast by others while the yellow is this representation of the rejection of myself through my eyes.

In my piece I wanted to show the story of my open heart surgery I had. The gears in my painting represent my mechanical heart valve and the different sizes symbolize generations of surgery. The heart next to the big gear represents where a heart would be located on a human body and the sky in the background symbolizes hope.

I used recyclable materials such as cardboard boxes and milk jugs to create a human-like sculpture to help tell the story of consumer culture in America. Subsequently calling my piece, "Consumer".

To be quite honest I’m not sure why I drew this, I kinda just wanted to so I did, though it was inspired by a feeling of anxiety and everyone watching you which is why I titled the art: ‘All eyes on you’ I just thought it looked cool and i wanted to draw a person, it’s not 100% to my liking but i think overall its okay. I used my Ipad to draw this using the program Procreate my personal favorite, I used custom brushes as well as some ‘paint’ brushes.

It started out as how I don't feel like my art is good enough but became a narrative on how the idea of doing commission art work kinda feels to me. Though I have only done a small amount of it so it might not be that bad.

To give context on this piece, the concept was “looking for answers” to symbolize a time where I felt lost. I tried to cover the page in mazes and a labyrinth that surrounds a magic 8 ball. I decided to use graphite to show the gloominess of feeling trapped and unsure of a situation.
