At the end of each school year, elementary school counselors create a one-page summary to highlight the impact of their comprehensive school counseling program. This "year in review" document provides a snapshot of the services, supports, and accomplishments that contributed to student success throughout the year. The one-pager may include data on individual counseling, small groups, classroom lessons, attendance initiatives, crisis response, student leadership programs, family outreach, and school-wide events. By combining meaningful data, student outcomes, and program highlights, counselors are able to clearly communicate their contributions to students, staff, families, and administrators while demonstrating how their work supports academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and a positive school climate.
