Start With Hello Week
Start With Hello Week
Turtleback students participated in Start With Hello Week from September 21–25, 2026. Start With Hello is an initiative focused on helping students build a more connected, inclusive, and supportive school community. The message is simple: sometimes, a small “hello” can help someone feel seen, welcomed, and connected.
This year, our theme days included Aloha Day, Favorite Things Day, Wear Dots Day, Food Drive Day, and Turtleback School Spirit Day!
Our very own Turtleback Hope Squad helped select the theme days, welcomed students to school with handmade “Hello” posters, and started conversations with classmates during recess. Their efforts helped spread kindness, connection, and a sense of belonging throughout our school community.

Class Winners for Attendance
As you may know, Turtleback has an exciting school-wide initiative highlighting the importance of daily attendance. At the beginning of each week, the classrooms with the highest attendance will be celebrated and a trophy will be delivered to their class. You can view the results at Monday drop-off and pick-up. We are committed to supporting families in this effort, and we encourage you to continue fostering a strong school-attendance routine at home. Thank you for your partnership in helping make this year a successful one for all of our students.

Let's Be Proactive and get to school on time Every Day!
We want to take a moment to highlight the importance of regular attendance in your child's education. Research shows that consistent attendance leads to stronger academic performance, greater social development, and a higher likelihood of graduating on time. Every day your child is present, they benefit from valuable learning experiences, engage in classroom activities, and form positive relationships with their peers and teachers. When students attend school regularly, they stay connected to the curriculum and build a strong foundation for success in the future.
