Bio:
I have had the privilege of serving in Poway Unified for the past 15 years, working both in the ESS program and as a school counselor. My connection to this district runs deep. I’m a proud product of Poway Unified myself, having attended elementary through high school here. After graduating, I went on to earn my degree from San Diego State University (Go Aztecs!) and then completed my Master’s in Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University. Outside of work, you can often find me on the golf course with friends, spending quality time with my wife and daughter, parents, or cheering on my favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Counseling Philosophy:
I believe every student deserves a champion, someone in their corner who believes in them and is committed to helping them succeed. My role as a counselor is to support students in setting and achieving their goals, while also creating a safe, welcoming, and creative environment where they feel valued and understood. I strive to inspire confidence, nurture resilience, and help students discover their own strengths so they can thrive both in and out of the classroom.
