Welcome to the Chaparral Counseling Nest website. As a counselor I am dedicated to helping students reach their full academic, career, and personal/social potential. As a result, I seek to develop students attitudes, skills, and body of knowledge that are necessary to pave the way for their success. Please join me in encouraging, assisting, and supporting the growth of our students to that end.

I have a passion and drive that stems from wanting to work with vulnerable youth so that every student knows they have a champion. Always willing to try and be innovative in order to meet a student at their individualized needs in order to foster growth. What is a champion? An adult who will never give up on a child. Who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be, and as a counselor understands that student needs are different and we need to meet each student where they are at in their journey in order to help them meet their desired goals.

The Chaparral Counseling program aims to support students academic, career and social/emotional development.

Academic Development – Seek to implement strategies and activities to support and maximize each student’s ability to learn.

Career Development – Seek to help students 1) understand the connection between school and the world of work and 2) plan for and make a successful transition from school to post-secondary education and/or the world of work and from job to job across the life span.

Social/Emotional Development – Seek to help students manage emotions and learn and apply interpersonal skills.
