Pandemic EBT (P–EBT) Benefits Program

Due to coronavirus (COVID 19), children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school will get extra food benefits. These food benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT benefits. P-EBT benefits help families in California buy food when school is closed.

Child Parent Institute

At the heart of our mission at the Child Parent Institute is our commitment to protecting the children and families in our community. Guided by the Center for Disease Control and the Sonoma County Public Health Department, our offices still remained closed until we can safely and responsibly provide services to our clients. Visit Calparents.org/corornavirus for all updates.

Child And Family Counseling Services

We have information to share with you related to services available for family and child counseling services for Sonoma County residents. The shelter in place order has added stress and uncertainty in the lives of our children and families. I have talked to several families who are stressed under these circumstances. If you know of any family that is feeling overwhelmed and needing help, they can call the Child & Family Counseling Clinic and talk to a therapist — free of charge. Ongoing Telehealth services are also available to all Sonoma County families. Issues commonly seen are symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues in children such as tantrums/meltdowns, aggression, and frequent conflict with family members.

Parents/Guardians can call the Intake Specialist at (707) 284-1500 to schedule a Telehealth consultation.

SAY Resources

SAY is an essential service provider under Sonoma County’s Shelter in Place order. While we have adjusted our services and staffing as much as possible to increase social distancing and minimize exposure, we know vulnerable youth and families in our community need us now more than ever.

To help aid more youth and families during this time, we have compiled a list of SAY resources that are available to youth, parents, caregivers, and teachers. This page will continue to be updated with more resources and virtual content. You can follow our Facebook page to see when new content is published.
