This week, we are exploring Native American music and dance! Our travel guide Mickela (who we met during our Chinese New Year and St Patrick's Day units) is visiting North Carolina. While there, she attends a Native American Pow Pow where she learns from locals, joins in the celebration, and even tries out some dances!


May 4th – 8th

Could playing an instrument make you smarter? What effect does music have on your brain? Let's see what neuroscientists, scientists who study the brain and nervous system, have to say about it!

May 11th – 15th

Today, we are visiting India by way of New York City! Our favorite travel guide, Mickela, explores Indian culture through music, dance, and food! She learns from New Yorkers as they tell about their Indian heritage and teach her new dance moves!
