The Pottsville School District Counseling Program is built on the belief that every student has the ability to achieve and succeed when provided equitable access to a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate counseling program. We believe:

ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors—including a positive attitude toward learning, self-confidence in the ability to succeed, and a sense of belonging—are essential for student growth.

The mission of the Pottsville School District Counseling Program is to deliver a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate counseling program aligned with the ASCA National Model that addresses students’ academic, career, and social/emotional needs. We strive to empower all students to achieve their highest potential by fostering resilience, self-advocacy, and lifelong learning through collaboration with families, educators, and the community.
