Campers exploring, creating, and learning outdoors during Thanksgiving Break Camp.
Location / School / Community: Cool Spring Preserve
Storyteller Role: Partner
Grade Level(s): (if applicable)
Organization(s) Involved: PVAS
On Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week, PVAS hosted Thanksgiving Break Camp at Cool Spring Preserve. Nineteen campers and five counselors-in-training joined us on our mission to spend more time outdoors this fall!
We had a blast doing fall-themed crafts, playing games, enjoying a campfire, building forts, and learning all about our resident beavers. Campers enjoyed dressing up like a beaver and listening to beaver storybooks.
Our staff packed a lot of activity into just two days, and the few hours of rain didn't slow down the campers one bit. We are thankful for all of our campers and camp families!
