PSD Priority area: Academic Rigor for All Students

Portsmouth School Department believes that high-quality instruction is the foundation of an exemplary education to prepare students for post-secondary education and a career. In support of this priority area, we will emphasize growth for all students and work to reduce any achievement and opportunity gaps to provide students with an equitable education.

How we will measure our success

We will measure our success within the Academic Rigor for All Students priority through the following:

• Student reading and math proficiency by grade 3 using RICAS

• Student reading and math growth and proficiency grades 4-8 using RICAS

• Students meeting or exceeding college readiness benchmarks on the SAT

• Review our curriculum accommodation plan annually to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all students
